1. Long History: Founded in 1950, State-Owned Cable Pioneer

The origin of Qingdao Cable dates back to 1950, initially established as Daxin Wire Works, one of China’s earliest state-run wire and cable manufacturers.

• 1950: Official foundation, start production of bare overhead conductors and basic building wires.
• 1961–1967: Renamed State-owned Qingdao Wire Works, mass production of ACSR overhead cables and enameled wires for domestic power grids.
• 1998: Obtained ISO 9001 international quality management system certification, standardized full-process production control.

2. Complete Production Workshop & Automated Equipment

Our factory covers a large standardized industrial zone with independent production workshops for each cable series. All core production lines are imported advanced automated equipment to guarantee stable product consistency:

1. Conductor Drawing & Stranding Workshop High-speed copper and aluminum wire drawing machines, automatic layered stranding equipment, precisely control conductor resistance, roundness and sectional area to meet IEC and GB standard tolerances.
2. XLPE & PVC Insulation Extrusion Workshop Precision insulated extrusion lines for medium and low voltage cables, real-time thickness monitoring during extrusion to avoid insulation breakdown risks under high voltage.
3. Armoring & Outer Sheath Workshop Steel tape armoring, steel wire armoring and PE/PVC sheath extrusion machines, producing buried, anti-compression, anti-corrosion cables for underground and outdoor projects.

3. Independent Third-Class Standard Testing Laboratory

Different from small cable workshops without inspection capacity, Qingdao Cable owns a municipal-level independent testing laboratory, all finished cables must pass full performance testing before delivery:

• Electrical performance test: Conductor resistance, high voltage withstand, partial discharge, insulation resistance test
• Mechanical property test: Tensile strength, elongation, impact and abrasion resistance test
• Environmental aging test: Thermal aging circulation, low temperature bending, UV resistance test
• Special fire safety test: Flame retardant, fire resistant, low smoke zero halogen toxicity testing

All test reports can be provided to global customers together with shipment documents.
